Being disabled I may have my limitations, but it just means that I do things a little differently and people are able to see what I have accomplished whilst living in a wheelchair. I have been racing my Honda Pilot for 3 years, as well. One of my cherished accomplishments is being able to hold on to the title of “Lucas Oil Regional Champion” for two consecutive years and worked on a 3rd championship in 2013.
In the past, I have built numerous custom vehicles for Daimler Chrysler and the SEMA Show. These included two Dodge Ram trucks, a Jeep Wrangler, a Nissan Hardbody truck, and a Chevrolet Trailblazer SS. My passion for motorsports keeps me working on the next full-scale build and along the way proving that just because I am in a wheelchair the vehicle did not always have to come “down to my level." I have also built two custom, accessible motorcycles: a Kawasaki ZX-7 street bike and a Ducati 848 track bike. I wanted to feel the freedom of riding a motorcycle again. Not only did I complete both the projects, but I was able to participate in competitions at Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond, CA with the Ducati. The project received national exposure when featured on the Superbikes television show on the SPEED Channel.
